Educational License Information

If you intend to use the c-treeACE Servers for educational use, the servers can be obtained for FREE from FairCom. Educational uses would include:

  • Students who are working on projects for school
  • Teachers, instructors, professors and other educators who would like to use c-tree in a teaching environment.

For all of our licensing models, there are two components to consider: development and deployment.

Development Licensing

  • Most developers begin their experience with c-treeACE by downloading c-treeACE Express. The license for c-treeACE Express grants you perpetual development rights, but no deployment rights. The license is available here:

Deployment Licensing

  • Once your application development is complete and you are ready to deploy, you would first accept a click-through c-treeACE Client Deployment Amendment which grants rights to deploy the client-side component of client/server applications. The Web page where you complete that information allows you to indicate that you would like to deploy educational-use servers.

    Once you have accepted the c-treeACE Client Deployment Amendment, a FairCom representative will contact you with information about obtaining educational use servers. These servers would include a be a c-treeACE Server Personal and Educational Use License Agreement.
